CFDI 4.0 invoices, each linked to its journal entry.
You stamp the invoice with your hotel’s digital seal certificate (CSD), or the guest issues it on their own, and the CFDI (Mexican e-invoice) is linked to that day’s journal entry.
How it works
Upload the digital seal certificate
The private key goes to the authorized certification provider (PAC), not into the database.
Stamp it, or let the guest self-invoice
From the front desk or from the self-invoicing portal.
The invoice is delivered
By email and WhatsApp, with its XML and PDF.
It’s linked to its journal entry
The day’s invoices appear in that date’s journal entry.
What’s included
- CFDI 4.0 stamping with the hotel’s digital seal certificate.
- Invoice cancellation with the SAT’s cancellation reasons.
- Guest self-invoicing: a portal where guests enter their details and get their invoice, without going through the front desk.
- Master account invoicing and free-form invoicing.
- Invoice delivery by email and WhatsApp.
- A vault of issued invoices, with their XML and PDF.
- Payment complement calculation for invoices paid in installments, with the previous balance and the outstanding balance on each payment.
- The day’s invoices are linked to that date’s journal entry.
The limit
The certificate’s private key doesn’t live in the database: it’s handed to the authorized certification provider (PAC). If you choose to keep it so you can cancel invoices, it stays on the server, outside the database; you can uncheck that option.
The payment complement receipt is calculated, but its stamping is still in development.

Start with yesterday.
If your hotel already signs off on its night audit, Containn can post yesterday today. The chart of accounts is set up in one step, the transaction code mapping is done once, and from then on every signed-off day becomes a journal entry.
