Payroll in the books, with withholdings kept separate.
You record each period’s payroll and Containn posts it to three accounts: the expense, what’s owed to your staff and the withholdings. When you pay it, the payment gets its own journal entry.
How it works
Record the period
Earnings, deductions and net pay.
The journal entry writes itself
To three accounts: the expense, the amount payable and the withholdings.
Record the payment
With its journal entry, when payroll is paid.
What’s included
- Recording by period with earnings, deductions and net pay.
- Automatic journal entry to three accounts: the expense, the amount payable and the withholdings.
- Payment of recorded payroll, with its journal entry.
- List by period.
The limit, stated up front
Containn accounts for payroll; it doesn’t calculate it. It doesn’t determine income tax (ISR), IMSS social security contributions or INFONAVIT housing contributions, and it doesn’t stamp payroll receipts (CFDI). The amounts come from your own calculation or your accounting firm; Containn posts them, pays them and keeps them auditable. Saying so is more useful than pretending otherwise halfway through a pay period.

Does Containn calculate payroll?
No. It accounts for it. The amounts come from your own calculation or your accounting firm.
Start with yesterday.
If your hotel already signs off on its night audit, Containn can post yesterday today. The chart of accounts is set up in one step, the transaction code mapping is done once, and from then on every signed-off day becomes a journal entry.
