The morning signature is the day's entry: when the day is signed, its póliza (Mexican journal entry) is created, and your numbers and the accountant's are the same. Your job is to review, sign when it is your turn and read results without waiting for anyone to finish keying in data.
Every morning
- In Finances → Day close, review the last night audit run and any nights left uncharged.
- In Signed days, confirm that yesterday is signed: debits, credits, nights and who signed. A reopened chip shows how many times it was reopened; hover to see the reason.
- See reports opens that day's Night Audit Totals exactly as signed.
- If you sign, first review the day's Trial balance, Movement journal and Guest balances, then click Close day.
- In Containn → Pólizas, confirm that Ingresos del día (day's revenue) exists for that date. If it does not, tell the accountant: setup is incomplete.
Every week and at month end
- Operating income, under Finances, shows what the hotel earned each day; Cashier shows when the money came in. They do not match, and should not.
- Estados financieros (financial statements) shows the income statement for the month or year to date, and the balance sheet with its Cuadra (balances) chip. The current month runs through the last signed day.
- In Cierre de mes (month-end close), review with the accountant what is blocking the close.

Your permissions
The Gerente (manager) role template in Settings → My Team includes everything operational and financial, including closing the day and closing the month, but not managing the team or the special permissions. Reopening a signed day or a closed month is granted person by person; the owner and the administrator have it by default.
Reopening undoes a signature: the day can change again, and when it is signed again the sheet freezes with whatever is there at that moment. If that day already had a póliza, Containn keeps the original and the new sheet does not replace it, so tell the accountant. Most of the time it is enough to record the correction on the open day, with its real date.
